The stewardess on the flight that made the announcements she didn’t even know what she was talking about she sounded inebriated. There were no snacks or drinks on our flight there wasn’t even much turbulence. I told the gate agent “I’m here”, she told me flight was closed while giving my already confirmed seat to an stand by passenger. Miles ticket value has gone away. Everybody is playing the game of upselling and delivering lower service. When demand drops, so will the game of price gouging, but we’ll see. Charlotte airport is miserable. For American I always have to connect from the end of terminal E to the end of terminal B and the stupid moving walkways are always broken. And the flights to all seem of least importance so they never leave on time in either direction.
The upshot was 4 flights without access to food or drink. Packed in like sardines, very uncomfortable. Sitting the aisle my shoulder was rammed into numerous times by rushing flight attendants. It took the crew over an hour and a half to bring out drinks.
The guy with severe body odor sat next to me. For the whole duration of the flight it was a torture. The airline should have better policy on limiting people with bad body odor to board the flight. Passengers should not be the ones to endure bad odor for the whole duration of the flight. The airline should be e the one to ensure decent air quality for ever passenger. Generally good but there wasn’t any staff available when my luggage didn’t appear at baggage claim in Fresno.
